This methodology focuses on enhancing reading, spelling, and writing skills through a carefully curated combination of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques. By integrating these multiple sensory modalities, we create an enriched learning experience that maximizes engagement and promotes effective information processing. Methodology

Multisensory.

Multisensory instruction is a way of teaching that engages more than one sense at a time. Using sight, hearing, movement, and touch gives a learner more than one way to connect with what they are learning.

Explicit.

Explicit learning is intentional/active learning. We use explicit learning in all areas of our tutoring; Orton & Gillingham, Math and Executive Functioning.  Any active means of learning information is explicit.

Individualized.

Individualized learning, or individualized instruction, is a method of teaching in which content and pace of learning are based upon the abilities and interest of each learner  Our team of consultants will individualize the lesson plans for every one of our unique learners.  It is vital to the success and progress of each of our students.

Barbara Wolf and her team are exceptional! When my son was diagnosed with dyslexia, I was lost, confused, and had no clue what to do. After talking to Barbara and her getting to know my son and his personality, she knew the perfect tutor for him and assured me everything is going to be fine. Over the past 3 months of tutoring, my son has gained so much confidence in reading and writing. Before we started here, he wouldn't even do simple things like read a text message, read a sentence on a sign, or write anything down. Now, he will do these things with no problem. Its those simple things that are so special, b/c I know he is gaining the confidence he needs to succeed in school and in life. Thank you Barbara and your team for all you do for these kiddos.

“My daughter was diagnosed with non-verbal learning disability (NVLD) and phonological disorder (trouble forming and understanding sounds of letters) since Kindergarten. We struggled to find the best intervention to help with learning to read, which seemed impossible to teach given her learning differences. I am so grateful we finally found Leigh Grammich and Wolf Consulting and the Orton-Gillingham approach to learning. The multi-sensory approach, structured learning setting, and focus on repetition and mastery is exactly what she needs, and Leigh is amazing! Leigh has been so flexible during COVID and able to pivot to virtual or in-person learning, which has made a world of difference during this difficult time. Thank you, Leigh for all of your work, patience, and love...you are truly giving her the gift of reading!”
